Lake Lotus Office (City of Altamonte Springs EOC)
Teer designed and integrated a dependable AV system for the Lake Lotus EOC office at Altamonte Springs
The City of Altamonte Springs upgraded the Lake Lotus Office to serve as a fully capable Emergency Operations Center (EOC). During critical events, incidents, or public emergencies, this space becomes the command hub for decision-makers. To support real-time coordination, the EOC needed dependable AV systems, long-distance video transport, clear voice communication, and easy control interfaces that staff could rely on during high-pressure situations.
Teer Audio Visual was selected to design and integrate the complete system to ensure that the EOC could operate effectively around the clock with a stable AV backbone.
The city required an AV environment that would:
– Support high-quality video conferencing and remote coordination
– Deliver broadcast-clear audio for critical communication
– Provide flexible routing for multiple sources, workstations, and incoming feeds
– Offer consistent control interfaces for staff
– Integrate video, audio, network transport, and operator control into a unified workflow
Teer AV deployed a full Q-SYS ecosystem throughout the Lake Lotus office. Tying together microphones, cameras, routing hardware, and operator controls into a seamless networked system.
A QSC Core 8 Flex and Core 110f drive all audio processing, including AEC, routing, and mix-minus configurations. Operators use QSC TSC-70-G3 and TSC-710t-G3 touch panels for fast, intuitive control of room modes, source selection, and camera presets.
Communication is anchored by Sennheiser TeamConnect systems with wireless handhelds, lavaliers, and gooseneck tabletop mics. This ensures clear speech during briefings and remote calls, regardless of background noise or distance from the mic.
For video, we integrated QSC NC-12x80 PTZ cameras mounted using QSC PTZ-CMB1 hardware, delivering smooth remote control and broadcast-quality visuals. A Roland UVC-01 provides USB bridging for conferencing platforms used by the city.
Large Sharp PN-L862B interactive displays serve as the front-of-room screens. Additional network audio is supported by Q-SYS I/O expanders while amplification is handled by QSC SPA2-200 and JBL CSA units. To manage incoming sources, AMX, Kramer, and Aurora hardware were installed.
The system is managed by a Netgear GSM4230PX-100NAS AV switch. which resulted in a mission-ready EOC. The staff can now share information, communicate clearly, manage resources, and coordinate emergency responses through a unified AV system.
