Crooked Can Brewing Company's new Minneola location was designed to be much more than a brewery. Located within the Hills City Center development, the facility serves as a destination for families, local residents, visitors, and community events. The expansive venue combines a brewery, food hall, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, live entertainment areas, and private event spaces into one experience-driven environment.
To support a facility of this size, Crooked Can needed technology that would enhance the guest experience without creating complexity for staff. Teer Audio Visual was selected to design and integrate a complete audiovisual and security solution that would support daily operations, live entertainment, digital content distribution, and future growth.
MAIN GOAL
The primary goal was to create a connected hospitality environment where audio, video, and security systems work together to support guests and staff alike.
Crooked Can wanted consistent audio coverage throughout the property, engaging video displays for menus and promotions, a large-format projection system for major events, and reliable security monitoring across key areas of the facility. Just as important, the system needed to remain easy to operate while providing the flexibility to expand as the business continues to grow.
Because the venue includes large open spaces, high ceilings, outdoor entertainment areas, and multiple gathering zones, every system had to be carefully designed to provide a consistent experience from one area to the next.
WHAT WE DID
For audio distribution, we deployed a combination of Q-SYS processing and amplification along with Electro-Voice, AtlasIED, and Community loudspeakers. This approach allowed us to provide balanced sound coverage throughout the brewery, food hall, outdoor gathering areas, and support spaces. Guests can enjoy clear music and announcements without dramatic volume changes as they move throughout the facility.
Video played an equally important role in the project. Commercial-grade LG displays were installed throughout the venue to support digital menus, promotional content, event information, and branded messaging. These displays provide staff with a reliable platform for communicating with guests while maintaining a consistent visual experience throughout the property.
One of the highlights of the project is the large-format event projection system. An Eiki laser projector paired with a Da-Lite motorized projection screen creates a focal point within the venue and allows Crooked Can to host sporting events, watch parties, community gatherings, and special presentations on a scale that traditional displays cannot match.
To support daily operations, we also deployed a Hikvision surveillance system backed by enterprise-grade Netgear networking infrastructure. Strategically placed cameras provide visibility throughout key guest areas, entrances, and operational spaces while giving management the tools needed to monitor activity efficiently.
The finished system provides Crooked Can with reliable audio, engaging visual experiences, improved operational awareness, and a technology foundation that can continue to grow alongside the business. More importantly, it helps support the venue's mission of creating a welcoming community destination where guests can gather, celebrate, and enjoy memorable experiences.
