Media Studio for the Orlando Police Department

The Orlando Police Department is known to protect and serve the City Beautiful and is a nationally recognized law enforcement agency that focuses on the safety of Orlando and its citizens and visitors. The department was in need of an in-house media studio that could record interviews, messages, and other topics that OPD wished to share with the public. Teer Audio Visual was chosen to design, install, and train staff on the media studio that would enhance OPD’s communications.

Dino, our Project Manager, led this project from start to finish. To say he is an expert in media production is an understatement. Dino has an Associate Degree in Digital Broadcast, a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema Studies, and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Film. Dino was a Professor for a Film Production MFA Program for a local university and has even directed and produced award-winning short films. His extensive background in film and production allowed our team to design the best media studio for the communications team and law enforcement officers at OPD.

Equipment for this project includes:

Panasonic 4/3” Large Format 4K/HD Handheld Camcorder

Sandies 340 Recording Light with LEDs (110 VAC to 12 VDC LED Driver)

Aputure Light Domes

Aputure Light Storm LS C120D II

Intellytech Light Cannon F-300 Bi-Color High Output LED Fresnel with DMX

Manfrotto 504HD Head with 546B

iKan PT1200 12" Portable Teleprompter Kit

Draper VCB Targa Video Background in Chroma Key Green

Once the installation was complete Dino trained the OPD team on their new studio equipment. Dino demonstrated to the OPD staff the best lighting techniques for different productions, operating the green screen, using the camera and recording video, and operating the attached teleprompter. The Orlando Police Department is excited to use their new media studio as it is another opportunity to help communicate to the citizens of Orlando.
